Meet You Chamber Board President! 

Jason Naill first joined the Chamber in 2002 and since then has been very active in promoting local businesses & enhancing the community's economic growth.

He has served on committee's such as; Annual Membership Dinner - RoRo Expo - Sunrise Seminar "Global Protocol" with Gloria Petersen - Golf Play Day.

He has lived in the Roscoe/Rockton area for 6 years and is currently a Residential Mortgage Lender for Midwest Community Bank in Rockford.

In Jason's spare time he also volunteers for Northern Illinois Hospice, the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce along with the Roscoe Area Chamber of Commerce.

Jessica Schrader has served on the Roscoe Chamber Board of Directors for two terms. This past year, Jessica became the Sr Vice President - Operations at Gateway Community Bank and has been with them since 2004.

A bachelors in science-business management and a minor in economics, Jessica has been in the banking world for 10 years.

She has lived in the stateline community for 20 years and  has been involved with the chamber's W@W Committee, the Golf Play Day and the Ambassadors Group.

Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time.

How lucky we have been this past year to be a viable part of our community! Bickford Senior Living is hosting a Progressive Treat Day on Monday, December 5th from 1:30-3:30.  Stop by for lots of treats in their home. A great chance to meet the residents as well as see the different apartments in the building. Then on Saturday, December 10, 2:00-3:00, the Rockford's Swedish singers; Svea Soner, will be doing a holiday concert and on Monday, December 19, 10:00-11:30, bring the kids out to see SANTA! He will be there for photo's, games and donuts for everyone! Check us out for respite care during the cold months ahead, offering "Winter Retreat" stays.

Edward Jones/Ron Jeffery of Roscoe is using his office at 5528 Elevator Road, as a drop-off location for items that will be sent to US Troops overseas. Local residents may help US military personnel by bringing in non-perishable items they would like to donate during the business hours of 8:00a - 4:30p.

Gateway Community Bank will assist the family of Mitchel Krause in establishing a Mitchel Krause Memorial Scholarship Fund for juniors and seniors attending Hononegah High School. A benefit to help fund this scholarship is planned for February 3, 2012 at Park Lanes in Loves Park. Garcea Computers, LLC has introduced a new product called Hosted Exchange e-mail! This email system will allow your computer's email to be in sync with your smartphone and tablet.  When you read or delete email on one device it automatically shows that change on ALL devices. Harlem Roscoe Fire Protection District is now taking applications for becoming a volunteer firefighter. An information class will be held soon so call 815/623-7867 for more info. The HRFD Firefighters will be collecting donations for the local Family Christmas Drive now through December 14. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at Station 1, Station 2 or Station 3 and any monetary donations can be brought to the administration office at Station 1. Last year the department was able to help more than 35 families during the holiday season!  

Natural Land Institute announces "People's Choice Photography Contest" that will start now and go through November 1, 2012. Amateur and professional photographers are invited to take photo's that capture natural landscapes and wildlife throughout the four seasons at designated properties that are owned or have been protected by NLI. NorthPointe offers Aquatic Exercise classes and certifications. The Aquatic Exercise Association is sponsoring a variety of nationally-recognized courses and exams on December 3-4. Classes will take place at the Health and Wellness campus on East Rockton Road. Call Shannon Miller at 815/525-4908 for more information.

Also at NorthPointe H & W Campus many family friendly events are scheduled for Friday, December 2 from 4-7 in celebration of their fourth anniversary.  A bonus will include an Open House for two new areas: the Dermatology & Cardiology Suites. The Merry Prairie Luminary Walk, horse drawn carriage rides and holiday coloring opportunity will also take place! 

Roscoe United Methodist Church   will offer three Christmas Eve worship services on December 24. Children's service at 5:00p - Family service at 7:00p - Concert at 10:00p followed by a Candlelight service at 11:00p. You may call the office at 815/623-2292 for additional information.

Senator Christine J Johnson wants you to join her for an "Old Fashioned Christmas on the Farm" open house.  Stop by on Sunday, December 4 from 2:00-4:30 at the Paulson's Agriculture Museum of Argyle.
